An inpatient healthcare facility is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a Urology assignment in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This locum tenens role offers the opportunity to provide inpatient rounding, call coverage, and collaborative urologic care within a busy acute care setting.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Saturday, Sunday, Thursday, Monday, Wednesday (intermittent coverage)
- Hours: 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
- Setting: Inpatient
Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient urology call coverage and rounding across acute care facilities
- Evaluate post-operative patients, inpatient consults, and emergency department consultations
- Conduct medical histories, physical examinations, and treatment planning for new and established patients
- Order and interpret laboratory studies and imaging relevant to urologic care
- Assist with minor urologic procedures and coordinate care with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of 3 years of urology experience
- Experience working independently while collaborating with interdisciplinary peers
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Epic EMR
- Background in inpatient and acute care urology consults
- Experience with perioperative urologic patient management
