A health services network in New York is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant in Westchester County. This role supports pre-operative evaluations, documentation, and communication with the anesthesia team to help ensure safe and efficient surgical preparation.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Hours: 8-hour days; 40 hours per week
- Setting: Acute care hospital
Responsibilities:
- Complete thorough pre-operative histories and physicals and order testing as indicated
- Conduct detailed pre-operative evaluations and document essential patient information
- Document patient diagnoses, planned procedures, and relevant surgical and anesthetic history
- Review medical history, allergies, and diagnostic studies, and perform focused physical examinations
- Order additional studies as needed and communicate clearly with the anesthesia team
Qualifications:
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
