A hospital system in Orange County, New York, is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) for a great opportunity with its Neurology team.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: 7-on, 7-off
- Hours: 7am to 7pm
- Patient Population: Adults
Responsibilities:
- Providing in-hour neuro coverage on a shift-based schedule
- Collaborate closely with hospital nursing staff, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and outpatient OB/GYN providers
- Conduct neurological consultations and emergency interventions as needed
- Supervise and support the care of patients admitted for neurological issues
- Round on patients pre- and post-neurosurgical procedures
- Ensure thorough documentation and clear communication in patient records and provider handoffs
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- NYS Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
- Experience in Acute Care, Critical Care, and/or Neurology role setting
