An exciting opportunity is available for a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Neonatology at a prominent health system in Belleville, NJ.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, available day or night
- Hours: 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am
- Setting: OB/NICU Department
Responsibilities:
- Covering the well-baby nursery
- Attending all deliveries
- Managing an average daily census of 5 nursery patients and approximately 5 deliveries per day
- Handling a patient load of 10–12 patients per shift
- Working solo with physician backup available on call
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Board Certified / Eligible in Neonatology
- Familiarity with Epic EMR
- Ability to work independently in a Level II NICU environment
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Team-oriented approach
- Attention to detail
Desired Skills:
- Master's Degree in Nursing or related field
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Proficiency in Neonatal Care procedures
