A leading healthcare institution in Western New York is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Emergency Medicine team.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Days or Nights
- Schedule: 7 shifts per month
- Hours: 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am
- Setting: Community Facility
Responsibilities:
- Providing primary and emergency care to patients
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Maintaining accurate patient records using the EMR system
- Participating in patient management and treatment plans
- Ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Emergency Medicine
- Active NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) license
- Board Certification: ABMS for Physicians (EM, FM, or IM); ANCC or AANP for APPs and NCCPA for PAs
- Completion of Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and/or Internal Medicine residency
- ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications (AHA)
- Strong clinical skills in Emergency settings
- Excellent communication skills
Desired Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in a hospital setting
- Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
- Advanced certifications in Emergency Medicine
- Proficient in using Epic EMR system
