A nonprofit organization in New York City is seeking a new Admissions Coordinator to join their team in Queens and focus on patient assessments and admissions for a residential program.

About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: typically Monday to Friday (may include Tuesday to Saturday)
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Setting: Residential program
Responsibilities:
- Conducting intake assessments using the Comprehensive Intake Assessment, Modified Mini Screening, and LOCADTR3
- Coordinating and completing the admissions process to maintain an accurate daily census
- Evaluating clinical documentation to determine appropriateness for treatment
- Facilitating referrals for individuals not appropriate for services
- Participating in case conferences with medical, psychiatric, and program leadership
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of admissions/intake experience
- High School Diploma / GED
- CASAC or CASAC-T required (CASAC-T acceptable)
- Experience with direct admissions
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Good organizational skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- CASAC or CASAC-T certification
- Proficiency in Clinical Documentation
- Familiarity with systems like LOCADTR3
